Excessive Noise from Pneumatic Pumps Can Be Expensive

Electric pumps can reduce noise levels in your manufacturing plant.

Reduce Noise Levels (and Cost) with Electric Pumps

Roughly 22 million U.S. workers are exposed to potentially hazardous noise at work each year. And over $240 million is spent annually on workers' compensation for hearing loss disability. To minimize noise-induced hearing loss, OSHA recommends that workers should not be exposed to noise more than 85 dBA for 8 hours.

In most cases, the preferred approach is to eliminate the source of hazardous noise. When elimination is not possible, substitution of the loud equipment for quieter equipment may be the next best alternative to protect workers from hazardous noise.

One way to reduce exposure to dangerous noise levels, is to replace your current pump with an E-Flo DCi electric circulating pump. It’s so quiet that it exceeds OSHA’s sound regulation by over 15 dbAs. Plus, it’s been found to be up to five times more efficient than similar sized pneumatic pumps.

Your employees will hear better, and you will save time and money.
