What is the longest length of hose I can run?

The typical hose length for an S340e is up to 100 feet (30 meters). Hoses should be staged with the largest diameter hose at the pump outlet and the smallest diameter hose at the applicator. The smallest diameter whip hose recommended for stucco materials is 1.25 in (32mm). The smallest diameter whip hose recommended for EIFS materials is 1.0 in (25mm). What is a typical hose diameter used with the machine?

The typical hose diameters are based upon the materials being used. Hoses are staged with the largest diameter hose at the pump outlet and a whip hose at the applicator. The largest diameter hose that can be used with the S340e is 2.0 in (50mm) at the pump outlet. The smallest diameter whip hose recommended for stucco materials is 1.25 in (32mm). The smallest diameter whip hose recommended for EIFS materials is 1.0 in (25mm).  
 

 

If I have an application with a vertical lift, can I position my hoses before I prime?

It is recommended to prime all hoses on the ground before lifting and positioning into place.
 

I have determined I have a blockage in the material hose. Is there an easy way to clear it?

After following the pressure relief procedure, it is recommended to isolate the section of hose where the blockage is present. Break the applicator/hose assembly starting with the tip on the applicator, then the applicator, then each section of hose working from the applicator back to the pump. When you remove the plugged portion of the applicator/hose you will typically see dried/hard material where the water has separated out. To clear a plugged hose or applicator use a purge hose (a 3/8" polyurethane tube connected to a water hose.) The tube is inserted into the plugged area while water is forced through it. This will break-up dry material and wash it away allowing the plug to be cleared. Here are the parts recommended to make a purge hose:

• (25 ft) Rigid Polypro Tubing 3/8" OD
• Garden Hose Quick Disconnect Fitting w/Shut-Off Valve
• Female Garden to Female ¼ NPT Adapter
• Push-to-Connect 3/8 Tube to Male ¼ NPT
• Reassemble the hose and applicator.
