How does the pop up seal bracket or pins bend
The Pop-up Seal is spring-loaded and gets held open by a pin and bracket so the pot can be filled. If the Abrasive Ball Valve and pot Pop-up Seal is left open and the Blast Control Switch is engaged air, water, and media will be forced out the top of the pot because the pressure pot path has less resistance than the blast hose path. Either the bracket or the pin on the Pop-up Handle will bend due to the force of the air/water/media.
How can you avoid bending the pop up seal bracket or pin
To avoid bending the pop up seal bracket or pin, follow the filling procedures in the manual.
Always make sure the abrasive ball valve is closed before opening the pop up seal, and that it stays closed until the pop up seal is closed. This cuts off the fluid path from the blast circuit to the pot.
