Oil management system: 4 reasons why Gejaco opted for Pulse

Gejaco wanted to eliminate the oil loss in their agricultural vehicle workshop. They were looking for an oil management system that could handle and monitor different types of oil and coolants. Pulse emerged as the winner. We asked managers Jan and Tania which were the deciding factors for our oil management system.

Based in the Belgian city of Herenthout, Gejaco sells agricultural vehicles. With New Holland as a head supplier, it’s clear that management duo Jan Geerts and his wife Tania Audiffret focus on quality.

Next to selling vehicles, Gejaco also provides maintenance service. In their workshop, 7 technicians perform various maintenance tasks on a wide variety of tractors of different brands. Oiling and lubricating being one of the standard tasks.

Jan and Tania wanted to cut back on oil loss in their workshop and further professionalize their bulk oil management. Our Pulse oil management system proved to be the right choice.

Pulse is a wireless fluid management system for vehicle and fleet service. A system – as pictured above – consists of (from left to right):

  • metered dispense valves,
  • tank level monitors,
  • hubs and routers,
  • and pump air controllers.

Gejaco chose Pulse for 3 particular reasons.

1. Full integration / transparency

With Pulse, Jan and Tania can rely on a fluid management system that is fully and seamlessly integrated within their existing Carfac DMS package.

Result: the account can now determine in real time how much oil is being supplied.

2. Better flow, no errors & no losses

Their workflow runs a lot smoother. When an agricultural vehicle comes in for maintenance, the technician must first enter the work order number on the dispensing gun, using his NFC badge. If he fails to do so, the oil management system will not pump oil.

Result: every liter of oil is effectively transferred to the correct location. No more oil loss. This saves Gejaco a lot of money.

3. Greater transparency through telemetry

Three times a day, each bulk tank sends a signal indicating how much oil is still in the tank at that moment. The amount is determined by two criteria:

  1. By the amount of oil extracted from the tank by the guns,
  2. By measuring the tank's contents.

Among other things, this dual control allows orders to be placed automatically a certain oil level is reached.

Result: there is no risk of running out of lubricating oil, while there is also no need to store more oil than necessary.

4. Wireless and installed in no time

Another reason - and admittedly one that Gejaco did not immediately think of - is the super easy and fast installation. Graco Pulse is wireless and therefore easy to integrate.

Result: no structural work had to be carried out within the workshop.

Drum carts

The Pulse oil management system has been providing Gejaco’s service technicians with quick and efficient lubrication maintenance. The system ensures that different types of oil and coolants can be supplied without someone having to manually pump oil to the reservoir.

In addition, Gejaco has also equipped its mobile drum carts with our oil management system.

Integration on site

The configuration and set-up was carried out by our distributor Verolub. A Limburg-based company that operates in Belgium and Luxembourg as an Authorized Distributor of Graco and Castrol.
