When a lighter and smaller airless spray gun is indispensable

After suffering a serious injury, Xavier Molina thought he would never be able to spray again...

On October 7, 2020 Xavier Molina, the owner of Molina Pintors, was working on a painting job at the top of a high scaffold in Spain when he had a major accident. He suffered a serious head injury and multiple fractures. The accident was so serious that he had to be air-lifted to the hospital by helicopter.

Thankfully, after eight months of rehabilitation, he was able to return to work. However, he was still experiencing pain, as well as a lack of strength and poor movement in his arms. This seriously reduced his ability to operate a paint sprayer. Indeed, he was beginning to think that he’d never be able to spray again.

Until, that is, Xavier picked up Graco’s new Contractor PC Compact airless spray gun.

“I immediately knew I would be able to continue working as before,” he recalls. “This spray gun was much lighter and smaller than any other gun I had worked with. And it needed a much lighter trigger pull force. Using this wonderful piece of equipment has meant that I have been able to continue spraying.”

The Contractor PC Compact airless spray gun has been designed to provide all-day comfort and control. It is 25% lighter in weight and 25% smaller in size than the standard Graco Contractor gun, and has a 50% lighter trigger pull force.

“What’s remarkable is that using the Contractor PC Compact has even increased my spraying speed, which in turn has boosted my productivity! As we say in Spanish: ‘No hay mal que por bien no venga!’” (Every cloud has a silver lining).
