PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
PPG CoraChar SE 4000 is a 2k (two-component), epoxy intumescent fire protective coating for electric vehicle battery packs and electrical energy components.

Typical CHARACTERISTICS:
- Provides protection to the battery substrate against external fires and internal thermal runaway events
- Shown adhesion to a variety of surfaces (i.e. aluminium alloys, steel, composites)
- Suitable for manual and robotic spray application

Shelf life: Base: 6 months Hardener: 6 months
Notes:
- Material should be stored in dry conditions, out of direct sunlight and at temperatures above 0°C (32°F) and below 23°C (73°F).
- Short time storage (transport): 10 days -20°C to 45°C in its original package.
- Dry film thickness dependent on the fire protection requirements. Consult PPG for more information.
- The applied mass density is dependent upon many variables such as application method and type of equipment used, environmental and curing temperatures, test methods employed, etc. The expected variation is normally within a ±10% range.
- Apply appropriate loss/wastage factor.
